From time to time, we find some extra time to work on our own in-house projects. These projects usually reflect our interest in contributing to the various communities we exist in. Recently, we’ve been working on a site that will connect twitter users in Phoenix by displaying real-time tweets happening in Phoenix.
This past weekend, we launched PHXtweets.com. PHXtweets displays real-time tweets from twitter users in the Phoenix-metro area, tweets about Phoenix, and tweets using the #phx hashtag. Our hope is that PHXtweets will help our local twitter community connect with each other in new ways. We’re convinced that social media enhances real face-to-face interaction in our city. We hope that PHXtweets proves us right as twitter users from across the valley discover others in the area who use twitter.
